The biggest start-up event in the world came to Delhi University for the first time, HULT prize, a start-up accelerator for social entrepreneurship brought together the brightest college students from around the globe to solve the world’s most pressing issues. Associated with the Bill Clinton Foundation, a student could have no better way to kickstart his/ her journey!

The structure of the event was to pitch one’s ideas and launch a company thereafter. There were awards worth millions of dollars in Investment Capital to young budding entrepreneurs, including a grand prize of $1 Million for the winner.

This year’s question was- “What opportunities exist to harness the power of energy to transform the lives of 10 million people?”

Winning start-ups from each city moved onto the HULT Prize accelerator for the summer before attending the Global finals at the United Nations, which took place in September 2018 at the United Nations General Assembly.
